Terms of Service

Terms of Service

Welcome to Rhino The Renovators. By accessing our website and engaging our renovation services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions, which are designed to comply with Canadian consumer protection laws and provincial renovation regulations.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this website or signing a project contract, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service.

2. Scope of Work and Contracts

All renovation, landscaping, and construction services are governed by a written contract. In accordance with provincial laws (such as Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act), this contract will include a detailed description of work, itemized pricing, start/completion dates, and a payment schedule.

3. Payment Terms and HST

Payments are due according to the milestones defined in your specific contract. All prices are subject to applicable Canadian taxes (HST/GST/PST). We do not request full payment upfront, adhering to industry best practices and consumer safety standards.

4. Licensing, Insurance, and WSIB

Rhino The Renovators maintains all necessary municipal licenses. We carry comprehensive general liability insurance and are in good standing with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) to ensure protection for both our workers and your property.

5. Permits and Regulations

Unless otherwise stated in writing, the client is responsible for obtaining necessary building permits. All work performed will comply with the National Building Code of Canada and relevant local building bylaws.

6. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Period

For contracts signed in your home, you may be entitled to a “cooling-off” period as defined by provincial legislation, allowing you to cancel the contract within a specific timeframe (e.g., 10 days in Ontario) without penalty.

7. Limitation of Liability

Rhino The Renovators is not liable for pre-existing structural issues, hidden hazardous materials (like asbestos), or delays caused by weather or supply chain disruptions beyond our control.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of operation and the federal laws of Canada.
